This sophisticated technology uses a series of computerized sound correlators and listening devices to pinpoint a water leak on anything from ductile iron pipes to PVC pool lines to radiant heat systems.
Digital sound correlators are placed on each end of a pipe through an access point such as a valve box, meter pit, etc. A technician repeats this process of collecting data in different locations on the water system and then begins to sort through the collected data.
A trained technician then interprets the collected data accuratly to pinpoint the location of the underground water leak. The location of the water leak is then verified by listening and making an educated guess based on knowledge and experience.
